MAMY BLUES
An Adoption, a Search, a Reunion.
Adoption seen through the eyes of an adoptee in Quebec, whose search for origins is shaped by personal, sociological, and legal questions. Through a deeply intimate narrative, Sylvie Bérard places the adoptee at the center of this essay, exploring the multiple dimensions of adoption and shedding light on the lived realities of adoptees and the challenges surrounding access to one’s origins in the context of a closed adoption.
